About us

East Ayrshire Women’s Aid is a charitable organisation dedicated to working towards ending domestic abuse. We offer a confidential service across East Ayrshire to support women, children and young people who are or have experienced domestic abuse.

We have over 30 years experience of delivering specialist domestic abuse services in East Ayrshire. We are a team of dedicated, trained and experienced staff who work to support women, children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.

East Ayrshire Women’s Aid works from a feminist perspective which recognises violence against women and girls as both a cause and a consequence of gender inequality. We believe that domestic abuse cannot be viewed in isolation from the attitudes, values and structures that greatly influence women’s vulnerability to violence and abuse.

We provide a wide range of confidential and community based services delivered in schools, community centres, health centres and partner agency settings. We strive to provide a high quality, effective and needs-led service.
